Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of sandstack during its private alpha. They're written to be readable; the spirit matters more than the letter.
1. The service
sandstack provides on-demand, isolated Chromium browser instances controllable over the Chrome DevTools Protocol. The service is provided as-is, in a private alpha, with no uptime guarantee.
2. Acceptable use
You may use sandstack to drive your own automations, agents, scrapers, tests, and similar workloads. You may not use it to:
- Attack, probe, or scan third-party systems without authorization.
- Distribute malware, run phishing infrastructure, or commit fraud.
- Access content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours.
- Circumvent the rate limits, session quotas, or other guardrails on the service.
- Resell access to sandstack as a wrapped product without prior written permission.
We may terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice. We may also cooperate with law enforcement when legally required.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password and API key confidential. Activity performed under your credentials is attributed to you. If you suspect compromise, sign in and rotate your password immediately, then email security@sandstack.site.
4. Data
Browser sessions are ephemeral — containers and their disks are destroyed when a session ends or idles out (15 minutes by default). We do not persist page contents, screenshots, or network traffic from your sessions. See the Privacy Policy for what we do retain.
5. Availability and changes
During alpha, we may add features, change behavior, or take the service offline for maintenance with little or no notice. Breaking API changes will be documented in the Changelog.
6. No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, sandstack's total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim — which, during the alpha, is zero.
7. Termination
You can stop using sandstack at any time. We can suspend or terminate access at any time for any reason, but we'll try to give notice when it's not an emergency or abuse case.
